Elizabeth Tracy Executive Producer
Liz is an Emmy nominated producer and director with experience working on a wide variety of investigative, educational, ethnographic and entertainment programming in the U.S. and abroad. Her work is influenced by a strong foundation in the cinema verite tradition of intimate and authentic storytelling.
In television, she has distinguished herself by producing several successful pilots that all led to series – these include Real Weddings by the Knot for Oxygen Media, First 48 for A&E, the critically acclaimed series which tracks the first hours of a homicide investigation, and The Vanilla Ice Project for DIY and HGTV, a light-hearted home improvement series starring the hip hop star. Liz was integral in developing the first season of Code Blue for TLC, producing and shooting several episodes that track the ups and downs of ER residents and their patients at Charity Hospital in New Orleans. She followed young women-in-training to become U.S. Marshals for the Oxygen Media series Women and the Badge hosted by Pam Greer. Liz produced and shot several episodes of TLC’s Maternity Ward, a character-driven exploration of the emotional trial of high-risk pregnancy and recent strides in maternal-fetal medicine. Most recently, she has worked as a show runner overseeing all aspects of production for hundreds of hours of television including A&E’s hit series Flip This House, Rescue Ink for National Geographic and Rehab Addict for DIY and HGTV. She is currently working on an independent documentary with development funding from PBS about women Members of Parliament in Afghanistan.
Liz’s work has aired on HBO, A&E, CBS, Discovery, Food Network, National Geographic Television, Swedish Public Television, Oxygen Media, HGTV and DIY. She earned her undergraduate degree in English and Creative Writing from Marquette University and a master’s degree in Media Studies from The New School University.
